Shrinka di Rosula

On a fine late summer day at a cozy cafe in Fontaine, the President of Spina di Rosula--Miss Navia--was taking time to relax and enjoy some tea and cakes. A friend would meet her for an appointment soon, but they were currently late. As such, Navia took to enjoying the treats she had bought for herself and her tardy guest.

Navia pulled her teacup to her lips, sniffing in its breathtaking aroma before pressing the edge to her lips. She sipped the lovely hot chamomile flavor with grace and poise, letting it rush down her throat smoothly. As soon as she removed the cup from her lips however, she felt a shocking sensation all across her body.

She quickly rose from her seat, peering around at the tea to see if anything was odd about it. Her hand grasping the edge of the table firmly, she tried to investigate the oddity before a new one began to make itself known. Navia felt the table's edge somehow getting thicker in her hand, and her perspective looked as if she had sat back down--but she was still standing up!

She kept her grasp firm on the table's edge as her free hand went to secure her hat on her head. "Surely this can't be like in that novel," she said before having to stand on her toes to reach the table's edge. "By the Archons, shrinking is really possible?!"

She kept her grasp firm on the table as her legs began to dangle as her height dwindled and dwindled. Using all her strength, she hoisted one arm onto the tabletop, though she feared the table might flip over. Luckily, her shrinking continued so rapidly the table barely felt her tiny form. With another heave, she hoisted her entire torso upon the table top, now trying to climb onto it or else be prey to a nasty fall. Using her legs and boots to do the final lifting, she managed to get up onto the table, though she still felt a strange sensation. Her teacup was soon to dwarf her in size.

Navia brushed herself off and pulled out her parasol--which somehow shrank with her--as her body finally began to stabilize her new tiny size. She determinedly placed her foot on the saucer that held her teacup and opened her parasol.

"Nothing the president of Spina di Rosula can't handle!" she declared pointing at seemingly nothing. "Once my guest gets here I'm sure we can sort this out. For now, there's a new adventure to be had!"

Recalling the novel of a girl shrinking from before, she decided to stay away from the tea for now. Perhaps the cakes would prove more worth her time... Or perhaps she should stay like this as a surprise for her tardy guest. She giggled a little at the thought of that.
